To our Turn It Up family,
We want to take a minute to thank you for your support and patience over the past couple of weeks as we navigate these uncharted territories. We understand how tough this has been on all our dance families and want to let you know that we are here for you and we are all in this together. This is something no one could have planned for and we are working tirelessly to reschedule all postponed competitions and ensure we can provide the most fun and professional event for our studios and their families. We know how much time, effort, and dedication your dancers have put into this season and look forward to giving them a platform to showcase their talents and hard work.
As of March 31, 2020, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all events scheduled BEFORE April 30, 2020. Events scheduled after April 30th are still “scheduled as planned”. We are aware that some states have closures past this April 30th date and will be addressing said locations as more information is received closer to the scheduled event. All updates will be communicated exclusively to Studio Directors as soon as information becomes available.
This situation is ever changing and because we are unsure when these bans will be lifted, we are unable to make accurate predictions of when we will be up and running competitions again. Once we have a better idea of the government’s timeline for closures, then we will be able to announce more specifics on future competitions and rescheduled dates.
At this time, many school districts are closed, and venue employees are not in the office or are working from home. This is limiting our communication with venues and making it more difficult to secure a postponement date. Our team is working tirelessly to get rescheduled dates on the calendar as quickly as possible and will update studio directors as soon as information becomes available.
Turn It Up Dance Challenge headquarters are currently closed due to the recommendations made by government and health officials in our state. Communication will be limited during this time so please bear with us as we work to respond in a timely manner to all studio inquiries.
We have received many questions about our National competitions this Summer. Due to the circumstances, we will allow any studio to attend our National Competitions without pre-qualifying at a regional competition. You can find our Nationals dates and locations on our website by clicking here!
Again, thank you for your support and patience during these unperceived times. This has been so tough on everyone who is part of our dance community. Dancers, teachers, parents, and choreographers have worked incredibly hard to get to this point and to see their 2020 season cut short breaks our hearts. It is so important to us to get back to normal so we can give your dancers, especially our graduating Seniors, the opportunity to shine on the Turn It Up stage.
All the best,
Your Turn It Up Dance Challenge Team
