Stage & Talent

Adjudicator

Bring your credentials and passion for dance to the judges table! You’ll provide thoughtful and knowledgeable feedback to young dancers in a supportive and professional manner. With our routines spanning all genres, ages, and levels, we look for judges with extensive experience and a dedication to uplifting young artists! Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday).

Emcee

The Emcee is the voice and energy of the event, responsible for engaging the audience, introducing routines, hyping up dancers, and keeping the show flowing smoothly. This role requires strong stage presence, quick thinking, excellent clarity and communication skills, and a fun, positive attitude. The ideal candidate can read the room, build excitement, and maintain professionalism while bringing energy and personality to every moment of the show. Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Master Teacher

Lead dynamic, supportive, and high-energy classes for dancers of all ages and levels at our one-day convention events. You’ll inspire, educate, and challenge students while representing the convention’s values of excellence, positivity, and professionalism. Faculty are expected to bring expert technique, innovative choreography, and an encouraging teaching style that creates an unforgettable experience for every dancer!

Backstage

Keep the show running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll check in dancers, maintain order, and make sure everything’s on schedule, all while creating a calm and positive backstage vibe. Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Merchandise Sales

Own the front-of-house energy at the merch table! Connect with attendees, sell our merchandise, and bring good vibes to the event foyer. Sales or retail experience is a bonus, but a friendly face is a must. Require weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Photographer

Love action shots? Capture the magic of each performance (up to 600 routines in a weekend) This role is perfect for someone with dance, performance, or sports photography experience who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Production Team (Sound/Lighting)

Be part of the A/V heartbeat of every event. You’ll load in equipment, run sound or lighting during the show, and make sure every performance shines. Literally! Attention to detail and a love for live production are a must. Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Show Director

Lead the charge! The Show Director is responsible for overseeing all roles and ensuring the event runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. This role is ideal for someone who leads with confidence, communicates clearly under pressure, and brings a passion for putting on a flawless show. Requires weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Are you the go-to friend for capturing the best moments? Take charge of our event content, create engaging posts, and help share the energy of Turn It Up online. You’ll also jump in to help with check-in and support other roles where needed. Require weekend travel (Friday–Monday). Must be available for mandatory in-person training in January.

Accuracy meets adrenaline. You’ll monitor all tabulation systems and double-check every score to keep our results fair and flawless. If you’re detail-obsessed and highly organized, this is your role.
